Dia de los inocentes (morfométricos)???

Como se sentiría al recibir un correo electrónico elogiando sus artículos e invitándolo a escribir un capitulo para un libro? Bueno ... ya he estado por esa grata experiencia dos veces esta semana.
Recibí por correo electrónico una "invitación" a colaborar en un libro sobre morfometría! Se ve muy bien ... hasta que uno llega a la sección "Article Processing Charge".... por "la invitación" para escribir un capitulo, me cobran $590 Euros! Si alguien quiere cooperar con donaciones ... bienvenidas!

About the APC

• The Article Processing Charge is 590 EUR
• The APC can be covered by the authors' institution or funding body
• The APC is charged only for accepted chapters
• This charge covers the costs of: manuscript preparation, hardcopy print and delivery to your address, promotion and dissemination of your work

InTech books are published under the Open Access publishing model, which means that they are free to read by anyone, anywhere in the world.

The Publishing Fee covers the expenses entailed in producing the book. It covers the expenses of technical staff, publishing process managers, preparation of the book and finally, printing and sending you a hard copy of your book via worldwide express delivery service.

Publishing with Open Access is not without costs since the book will also be published in a printed edition with ISBN number. The processing fee also covers costs of review, corrections, preparation for print, print, postal shipment and cover design.
